| Comments: | When I returned home, the island of Mauritius, I had to present my design for a weekly magazine to the high management of a foreign company. Tom, you won't believe how much I feel good about this. I took all your precious advice and gave a confident presentation. My design was approved, and the CEO of the group told me that I did a really good job -- design-wise, and that I had good presentation skills and I did a good job defending my ideas. I talk about you and your classes with everyone here, my parents, friends, colleagues and girlfriend. My girlfriend even quotes you now, since I am always sharing the knowledge I got from you. Wish you the best in everything you are doing. |

| Comments: | Tom Marcoux's public speaking instruction was a wonderful and irreplaceable guide for when I presented an advertising project pitch to the Charles Schwab Scholarship Competition. I used a technique to close my pitch with confidence. One of the examiners said that I sounded so professional. And the next thing I know is, we won the Charles Schwab Scholarship! I'm glad that Tom's instruction guided me with better strategies in speech, body movements, powerful words to emotionally involve people, and hints for dealing with tough situations. Thank you Tom, for incredible coaching with absolute patience and the passion for cheering up the atmosphere in the classroom.

| Comments: | I met Tom Marcoux when he presented "Empower Your Personal Brand: Align Yourself for Promotions and Raises" at one of our PMI Silicon Valley Chapter workshops. It could be a very appropriate topic in light of all the economic and employment issues right now. I enjoyed his presentation very much. It gave me some insight into myself and provided some excellent tips on getting peple to recognize your talents and contributions so you are remembered and can put you in a better position for promotions, other job opportunities and ultimately with internal and external clients/customers. | Comments: | Tom, I've received quite a bit of positive feedback from various employees who have all said how much they enjoyed hearing you speak on "Communicating Powerfully in High Stress Situations: Secrets to Be Heard and Be Trusted." The statements I've heard most are that you were humorous which made them relax but also and most importantly, you gave them encouragement for various approaches on how to go forward in speaking with Managers, co-worker and even family member. Thank you. Henri Henri Gonzales Silicon Valley Bank |

| Comments: | Tom, The best, usable idea I heard in your April 22nd "Be Heard and Be Trusted: Success with Ease" presentation was: Ask "what" and "how" questions and not "why" questions. Thanks, Peter Chan Software Engineer Sun Microsystems |

| Comments: | Tom's Professional Presentation and Communications class was really helpful. Tom taught real and practical methods, which I implemented into my midpoint presentation (my proposal for my graduate school thesis). Tom's pointers, feedback and suggestions greatly improved my presentation’s overall content and structure. My story was too long (about 2 minutes 30 seconds) and Tom helped me restructure the story to make it dynamic and last less than 1 minute. In his class, Tom also taught us how to deal with problematic situations. Thanks to Tom’s class, I was able to handle the situation when one instructor attacked my presentation, and I smoothly returned to my presentation. I found it very effective to end my presentation with: "So I hope you will please say 'yes' to approving my thesis proposal. Thank you." The panel approved my presentation and thesis proposal quickly, and they said that it was very professionally done. Thank you Tom, for everything you have taught me.
